Understanding Your CallingSpeaker: John Durham: Lead Pastor of Highland Baptist Church
Every enduring and fruitful ministry begins with God's call. Let's examine how God calls women and men to serve His church, why our calling is the anchor that keeps us steady in the difficult and dry seasons, and what faithful service looks like over a lifetime. Be reminded and encouraged that ministry is not merely something we choose - it is a stewardship entrusted to us by Christ for the building up of His church.

The Hidden Work: Why Healthy Sundays Begin Beneath the SurfaceSpeaker: Jared Billups: Gathering Pastor of Highland Baptist Church
Every healthy tree is sustained by an even larger root system hidden beneath the surface. Ministry is no different. Long before anyone experiences a Sunday gathering, the hidden work of abiding in Christ is shaping those who serve. Whether you're a pastor, worship leader, musician, production volunteer, or part of the hospitality team, the health of your public ministry will always be rooted in the depth of your private devotion. Join us as we explore how the hidden work of spiritual formation shapes the visible work of ministry, allowing every person - from the platform to the car park - to serve as an overflow of a life rooted in Christ.
Saturday | 13:30
Sunday Culture & DynamicsSpeaker: Jordan Greer: Worship and Production Pastor
As leaders on Sunday mornings, we are not the thermometers of Sunday culture; we must be the thermostats of culture - the ones setting the temperature. In this session, we will examine what healthy culture looks like, how to set it for both your church and your teams, and some common Sunday-culture-pitfalls to avoid. Healthy Sunday culture and dynamics will always flow from the top down.
Saturday | 19:00
From Surviving to ThrivingSpeaker: Jessica Lackey : Associate Gathering Minister
You've spent this weekend soaking up information and ideas like a sponge. Now what? Perhaps you already feel burnt out, exhausted, or discouraged, and the thought of adding more to your plate is overwhelming. Maybe on the opposite end of the spectrum, you are so excited to implement new ideas and changes into your ministry that you are at risk for working in your own strength and leading to exhaustion down the road. Wherever you find yourself as we close this conference, let us discuss what a healthy balance can look like, how we can move from surviving each week of ministry into thriving, and how we can continue to listen to and depend upon the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and guidance in the work that the Lord has for us to do.

SLOT 3 - Saturday - 16:00 - Upper HallSo often as church leaders, we feel the unnecessary burden of "having it together" all of the time. But what do we do when we ourselves are struggling? How do we respond when sorrow and grief are the dominating themes of our season of life? And how could we also help lead others well as they encounter such sorrow? Join us as we discuss Biblical and faithful lament and as we learn what it means to both suffer well and lead others to do the same.

SLOT 3 - Saturday - 16:00 - SanctuaryNothing engages and energises a team like healthy and functional culture, and nothing demoralises and diminishes a team more than unhealthy and dysfunctional culture. How you establish and build culture on your teams will determine the health and culture of your entire church! Building Healthy Team Culture is a breakout session designed to equip you in: What is good culture? How is healthy culture built? How can you course-correct out of an unhealthy culture? What are some practical ways to develop healthy culture on your teams?
Preparation & the Move of the Holy Spirit
SLOT 3 - Saturday - 16:00 - Coffee ShopIn this breakout session, we will explore the intersection between good preparation and the Holy Spirit's activity in church services. Our tendency is to operate either entirely in spontaneity or in a structured plan. However, The Holy Spirit's movement is not exclusive to spontaneity in worship, nor does good preparation prevent the Spirit from moving freely. This breakout session will challenge your approach to planning and executing worship services.
